Hello, my name is Charlotte and I’m an uncomplicated cosmetics junkie from the UK.
I’m 32 years old and a mum to a brilliant 5yr old daughter. Married to my lovely long suffering husband of 10-years who spends far more time than he’d like trailing around after me in Boots, Superdrug and Debenhams.
Because of this, he has perfected a totally natural and unforced ‘can we go home now’ look.
Aside from this beauty-related fluff and my gorgeous family… my other great love in life is photography.
You can see some of my photography here. I shoot with a Canon 50D and mainly use a Tamron 17-50mm lens for blog photos. I shoot my indoor shots with an external flash but no light boxes. I did a post about lighting here.
If you’re thinking of dropping £££ on amaze DSLR, I’d also recommend spending a couple of months learning how to use it. I wish I received more questions that said “Hey, can you recommend any resources where I can learn how to use my camera?” rather than just “Hai, what camera do you use?”.
I’m crap getting better at applying make up, I’m crap fabulous at applying nail polish, I’m rubbish getting more disciplined at 
remembering to use moisturiser on anything other than my face and I’m too self employed and poor to afford gorgeous high end brands (but that doesn’t stop me buying them anyway).
I love nothing more than getting a bargain, apart from maybe scouring eBay for misspelt auctions and curios from the Far East. I’m still searching for my HG products, and secretly hope I never really find them because then I’d have to stop looking – and where’s the fun in that?
