An official statement on the current HQHair situation:
Unfortunately HQ Hair went into administration last week. However in a bid to save the brand and the site it has been bought by The Hut Group. At the moment there is a holding site so some brands will not appear but the plan is to relaunch in a big way. HQ was a leader in the online beauty world and we want to keep it that way by investing in the technology and introducing exciting new hard-to-find brands as well as supporting those we currently stock. Please keep with us while we make the transition. All customer orders will be honoured and everyone will be looked after as always.
Kind regard

There’s much talk at the moment about what might and might not be happening with regards to the popular beauty site HQHair. I know that for many European girls, the site was their main source for hard-to-obtain brands such as NARS (a brand that has been removed from the HQHair brand portfolio in the past few days).
I do hope that the company can get back on their feet soon. in the recent past, I’ve felt at times that the online emporium haven’t been quite as focused as they should have been, though to be fair… the CS issues I have had have been rectified promptly when brought to their attention.
Perhaps this will be the kick needed to relaunch into the beauty leader they want to be. Until then, my thoughts are with those who have lost their jobs at the brand.
shame about this, it hhad some great brands, i have some vouchers best use them up
I used to be on there all the time a few years ago lusting over all the amazing brands, now its just not as exciting. Still shocked that they are in the state they are though, just goes to show no company is safe…
I’ve ordered from them a couple of times and always had great service, so this is a shame. Practically all the NARS products were out of stock these past couple of months, so I’m not surprised to hear there may have been something going on there. I hope they can reach a solution so the poor staff don’t have to lose their jobs.
Oh no! I love HQ Hair. The Hut are good so hopefully the customer service will still be as good.

I always visited but rarely bought, they never had the stuff I wanted in stock…thou they did/do stock philosophy which is hard for me to get
Nooo. I just won an instant gift card, and I didn’t even get a chance to use it 🙁 And how am I supposed to get my Mario Badescu products?!
I didn’t like the way the new website that they introduced displayed the products. The old one was much easier to browse. No complaints about the service. Hope they pull through.
Aw what a shame, I’ve not used them recently (as they’re often more expensive than other online retailers for the same items) but I’ve used them quite a bit in the past and always been pleased.
It’s sad, I heard about this on http://Misschievous.tv
I’m so sad about this. I was lucky enough to win a NARS makeover (kindly mentioned by the lovely Charlotte in her blog!) just before Christmas, and met the lovely ladies down in London. I had such a fantastic time, the ladies were truly warm and friendly, and I didn’t want to leave! I hope it gets sorted out soon and that none of the lovelies I met have lost their jobs.
Hi Charlotte
Can I quickly let Ida know that BeautyBay.com do Mario Badescu (in fact, we’re the only UK stockist left)?
Thanks
Ailsa
THANKS! You just saved me! <3
I found out from online shop site Shobble that webshop called “Kiss and Makeup” apparently sells Mario Badescu skincare also. Though that store is US based…

Thats a shame, I have used HQ Hair for a good few years now although have to say they did sell a lot of stuff which wasn’t in stock but, would take your money all the same!
[…] mit einer Dame von HQhair – der Shop, der auf einmal Konkurs ging, um dann von der HutGroup aufgekauft zu werden, und nun so langsam wieder das Sortiment auf alten Stand aufzustocken. Und siehe da: auch […]
Its a real shame great beauty products at good prices maybe the HUT can help the website stay alive
