Beige, Grunge, Greige, Taupe, Shit Fingers… whatever you want to call it. There’s a love/hate vibe around the shade that hasn’t venured far from the spotlight for the last year or so…
Here’s a run down of a few of the shades I own.
My perfect “greige” needs to be the right mix of grey and brown. If it has just a hint of mauve, all the better…
Orly Prince Charming and BarryM Mushroom are quite chocolatey in appearance… I prefer a little more grey to my greiges. Boots No7’s Beanie and O.P.I’s You Don’t Know Jacques are both beautiful but quite dark.
This leaves the mega bargainous E.L.F’s Smoky Brown as my pick of the colour crop. On price alone (£1.50) it wins hands down.

I don’t really like them, plus I don’t think it works on my skintone so I leave well alone.
I love greige. YDKJ looks very dark. It’s off my list. Glad to say I have the Barry M (average) and the ELF (not tried it yet). But if you want mauve then get CG Channelesque.

of course i am going to prefer the opi ydkn, but that’s just because i prefer your actual nail there, best looking of the bunch.
this is so nice to see this comparison, you totally sold me on the greige trend. being a cheap tart I’d go for the elf or the barry m.

This is one of fave colors:) this year.
I quite like those colours, i think they tend to look classy and polished. I like the Barry M one best as the others aren’t as beige-y as i like.
