Eyeko Petite Polish – NOTD

Here’s another Eyeko I was sent recently…

…don’t like it (said in the style of Lou & Andy).

Eyeko’s Petite Polish (£3.50) is a pale girly pink, and there’s nothing wrong with that…. infact, the idea appeals and I’m not sure I have anything similar.  However, it just didn’t work that well for me.  It took 4 coats to achieve opacity (so probably great if you’re looking for a sheer!) and once finished it just looked kinda “thick” and not very feminine at all.

Is it supposed to be a sheer?  I dunno… I guess maybe it’s a French Manicure polish, in which case I’m being a bit harsh… but I want an opaque baby pink that looks all delicate, and this isn’t it.

Can anyone recommend some nice baby pinks that are all feminine and floaty and stuff?

    Alas, I am also on the search for a baby pink polish that doesn’t take a gazillion coats to perfect.

    I don’t have any of these, as girlie pinks are not my forte! But some of the Essie polishes like Neo Whimsical, Pop Art or Van D’go might be nice. I’m on the hunt for Tart Deco ;o) a lovely coral colour, that’s about as girlie as it gets for me!

    Yeah it’s meant to be a French 🙂 haha although I would have liked it to be opaque too I think. The only pale pink I have that’s opaque is ChG Something Sweet but that’s really, really stark.. I’d love something softer. Let me know if you find something!

    I haven’t tried this yet.
    Essie Gladioli is a pretty pale pink. It was on sale at NailsByMail a fortnight ago. Half-price. 2 coats.

    I’ve tried a couple of Eyeko polishes and not been too keen (although my local Superdrug doesn’t seem to stock it anymore?).
    Any way this colour does look lovely. Four coats though – jeez.

    it’s such a pretty pink & i’ve been looking for one like this 🙁
