So, I’ve had this pot of Eyeko Cream for a disgustingly unhygienic length of time, at least 18 months I reckon… and I still haven’t figured out how best to use it.
I mean, thanks to it’s shimmery-ness… it’s obviously best put to work as a highlighter, but the intricacies of application have so far failed me.
Mixed with my moisturiser? Hallo disco features!
Dotted along my cheekbones and blended before foundation? Holy huge pores!
Dotted along my cheekbones and blended AFTER foundation? Just, no. Foundation seems to disagree with this product and the whole lot starts “balling up” under my fingers if I apply it ontop.
So you see, I love the shimmer, scent and creamy texture…. but I just can’t make it work for me.
Eyeko Cream is priced at a bargainous £6 and available online from their website.
I’m sure lots of you already have this… any tips ladies?
Maybe just put it on your shoulders and collarbone for a night out if it doesn’t work on your face! x

I mix a little bit (half a pea-size) with my moisturiser, it’s bright at first but then the foundation covers some of the shinyness.
Also, as a highlighter on my eyes (only for evening looks).

all-over body shimmer?? Mix with body cream…dunno! If it doesn’t work on your face it’s a bit of a dud really 🙁
I’ve had the same problem with Make Up Store’s High Tech Lighters but have since found a way to make them work. I suggest putting a small amount of the product on the back of your hand (so it warms up a bit) and then using a duo fiber brush to apply it to your cheeks. That way it doesn’t “ball up”.
I tend to use it as a highlighter in the around-the-eye area. Often I don’t use concealer on my undereye circles and this stuff gives it some more brightness on those days. Also it’s nice on the browbone and on the inner eye corner.
Under brow highlight? Though then you’d have the jar forever!
Lips, eyes and collarbones?
i used as a base/ moisturiser before putting the foundation on when my skin is dull and dry. when i bought it, i thought it will be quite difficult to use as it is full of shimmer, but after putting on the foundation, concealer and pressed powder, the shimmer actually disappeared and my skin still stayed hydrated.
Mine is still unopened since 18 months 🙂
I do not own this product so I don’t know exactly how it “behaves”, but maybe you could mix it with eyeshadow and make a cream eyeshadow. Try adding just a tiny bit so it doesn’t crease. Just an idea…hope it works! xoxo!
Im so glad someone else feels the same as I do about this – i’ve had it for ages and tried to use it but I just can’t find a nice way to use it. I tried it as a highlight but it was too shimmery!

I agree with the ‘body glossing’, one of my friends had this and had the same problems as you, so she now uses it on her legs, arms, decolletage and the like xx

I don’t mix it with my moisturiser – I find the best way it works for me is to moisturise first then apply on cheekbones etc. Then apply foundation on the top. I have started using it everyday now since I picked it up again. Hope you find a way to make it work for you 🙂

When I was once using red lipstick (Pillarbox Red by Barry M) I used this cream on my cupids bow really lightly and it added dimension to otherwise matte and flat lips, It was really pretty x
