Sacre Bleu indeed! The last time Escentual.com ran this promotion, I parted with more than my fair share of cash to dip my gallic toe in as much French skincare as it could bear.
Not literally, that would be really unhygenic.
I’ll be restocking the brilliant La Roche-Posay Effaclar AI Targeted Breakout Corrector (the closest thing I’ve found to stop emerging spots DEAD in their tracks), La Roche-Posay Lipikar Baume AP – Lipid Replenishing Body Balm (your skin will thank you this winter!),and the wonderful A-Derma Sensifluid Cleansing Lotion (massage onto skin, wipe off with a barely-damp flannel for brilliant waterless cleansing).
I may also be taking a tiny dabble with some Nuxe Reve de Miel – Honey Lip Balm (‘cos other bloggers keep making me want to try it!), the new La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 – Soothing Repairing Balm (to soothe my post-IPL skin), and a Klorane shampoo & conditioner… I haven’t decided which yet, so I’m open to suggestions!
Will you be indulging in any of Escentual.com’s French Pharmacy brands during their price promotion?
Get Reve de Miel for sure. It smells sooo good I have to restrain myself from licking my lips. I have Klorane’s mango butter conditioner but I don’t think it’s very good, really runny ad can’t see/feel much difference to my hair xx
Ok, you’ve sold me on the Reve de Miel (but I do hate little pots of balm, always feels so unhygenic). I’m sad to hear you don’t rate the Klorane though, I think I was most excited to try some French haircare!
Ooooh, yes. I spent a fortune last time they did this offer. I took your advice and got the Effaklar AI and it does work really well. Did you know that the Effaclar K daily fluid for oily skin is a fab little treatment moisturiser? If you put it on overnight it has a slight exfoliating action and reduces the pores and improves the smoothness and look of the skin. I read an interview with a famous model on a blog (sorry, being horribly wishy-washy) and she swore by it as a night-before treatment to perk her skin up. Me, I find it helps keep the zits at bay.
A top tip is to make sure you put in a review of the products you try. I did this and won a voucher!
That’s great to hear about the reviews bit, I often see them on site but wonder if any ever actually gets rewarded when they say they would! Now I know that they give out vouchers, it’s definitely worth reviewing!
I’m glad you got on well with the AI, it really is the only thing (in its genre) that’s come close to doing what it’s supposed to for me! I like the idea of the daily fluid too!
I love French Pharmacy skin care, I am currently using the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo and my skin is loving it! I’m also a huge fan of Vichy Normaderm range. Thanks for the update, I hope they ship worldwide!
They sure do! x
Thanks for this! I use Cicaplast B5 after my IPL, this is an amazing product, works on all kinds of irritated skin!
