You wouldn’t haven’t seen this beautiful polish from Max Factor. I did a quick search and couldn’t find any other bloggers talking about it, so I thought I should put that right immediately.
I know right? I think I’m on to something with this scoop.
The lovely Liloo picked this up for me and sent it halfway across the country because my local Boots seems to stock every Max Factor Max Effect Mini Nail Polish shade except this one. I’m not actually going to bother talking about it, I was about to write “this is a pretty good dupe for…” (finish that sentence) and I just couldn’t be bothered because even Leila knows what this is a dupe for. If you’re the one person left in the world who doesn’t know? Hai Google.
So, instead… just enjoy a little bit moar Fantasy Fire nail p0rn. Swatched here over Estee Lauder Teal Topaz because on its own, it’s kinda shit.

This is beautiful, the iridescence makes it.
I got this yesterday after seeing Sirvinya and LouLou699 talking about it on Twitter, I haven’t tried it yet though but it looks gorgeous. I saw that Sirvinya recommends layering it over Rimmel’s Blue My Mind so I might pick that up.

LOL, I love the way you dealt with its shortcomings! It is indeed shit on its own and I need to find something for layering. Unfortunately, as I don’t have anything suitable at the moment, I’ll probably have to wait until my ban ends. *sob*
It looks very pretty over black or a really dark purple too if that helps? You see more of the yellow/green and red like that.
Lovely! – the Teal does help to lift it a bit – will have to try the layering as it’s not as bluey/greeny as I thought it might be.
I have this polish! I, ahem, bought four bottles. *hangs head in shame* I love it desperately – it’s too sheer on its own, but it looks fab layered over different polishes.
The bottle is pretty. Someone needs to come up with a glass art version of this.

I’ve yet to try it over a purple/teal yet – wearing it over black at the moment. Prettyyyyy.

I have just put it over Essie Smooth Sailing. It’s OK. It isn’t however worth the hype. It took me until this Tuesday to find it and…*shrugs shoulders*…
I layered it over Color Club’s Shabby Drab (periwinkle) and topped with Color Club’s Orna-Minted (Medium silver hex and small silver glitter in clear base). It was so hot, I couldn’t stop staring at my nails. One of the best combos evar

We *need* Max Factor to come back to the US… I actually have a similar matte version of this from a very, very long time ago.
Bought it and needed four coats to get any kind of coverage but it was pretty. See now that I really need a deep opaque base. Onwards and upwards………
Sorry to burst your bubble, but people have been talking about Fantasy Fire for months…if a quick google search didn’t show you a bajillion hits on blog posts featuring this polish, you’re clearly doing it wrong 🙁
THAT SAID, you still have one of the best set of swatches OF Fantasy Fire I’ve seen on the internet…especially that last shot there. Gorgeous 🙂
