You can’t polish a turd but you can roll it in glitter…
Ta-da!!
Well, it’s not exactly subtle is it? A warm brown base colour with a whole heap of chunky holo glitter embedded like sparkly shrapnel. It needs a top coat to get rid of the grittiness and three overall coats to achieve full opacity.
I like it, but not as much as I thought I was going to. Apologies for the no natural daylight photo – colour is accurate but the holo is obviously looking a little underwhelming. You need proper sun for that kind of bling and we’re just not getting any at the moment.
What do you think?
China Glaze Mahoganie is priced at £7.99 and available online from RadiantBabe-Beauty.
Best opening line of a blog post ever! Really made me chuckle. I like the colour, but can’t deal with the gritty feeling – even after top coat. Probably won’t pick this one up. x
I like this! I love glitter!
Best opening line to a blog post ever.
SUCH a gorgeous color! <3
Holy mother of god, THAT’s what your artificial light photos look like?! D:
Excuse me, I have to go jump off of a bridge now.
Of course I just read “Ta dah” as the opening line and thought “*sniff* , well yes I know she’s won the Johnson’s of Johnson’s award for the bestest and all that but Ta dah ain’t all that special”…..perhaps I need to go to Specsavers. I think I am with Leanne. xx
mmm – Love the glittery but not sure on the colour – The whole effect looks a bit like crushed Smarties, but your opening line is indelibly stamped on my mind now haha
:0)
p.
I kinda like it, so unusual! I have to agree with one of the posters above me, it really does look like sparkly crushed smarties. =)
Layer it over red! That’s how I wear Mahoganie most of the time, it looks less brown but still glittery.
Oh that’s so so pretty! And the first line is hilarious 😀
Even though you have referred to it as a glittered turd… I LOVE IT!
That looks great.. love it 🙂
