How much do we hate it when we look down at our fresh manicures to realise that yet again, we’ve managed to daub more polish on our fingers than we got on our nails?
Well, worry no more ‘cos Butter London set the scene at Vena Cava yesterday for a forward-thinking, fabulous faux pas that’s achievable for anyone with a nail brush (and an unsteady hand!)

I love anything in beauty and fashion that doesn’t take itself too seriously and this daftness reminds me of being at school and tippexing the crap out of myself in an ‘artful’ manner… and anything that reminds me of those playful days is a win in my book.

I am much more attracted to your playful approach which I love than the bands themselves which IMO look a bit odd!
A bit daft but not as daft as bbb’s hair liner. for me it would work better further down below, where the rings are usually placed. I’d like it better in neon colour: like a neon jamaican style flag. But then again i wouldnt use a nail polish to do it, and would use an eyeliner.

Er… ummmm… not my thing 😛 But one could paint in the place of real rings. Could make everybody at work start asking me “OMG ARE YOU ENGAGED???” and then I’d go no, ner-ner-ner-ner-ner-nerrrr.
hmm not sure. I imagine i’ll still try it next time my nail varnishes are out..
OK, well I totally LOVE it! I think it’s a great way to use a few colors that complement one another well without actually painting different fingers different colors, which I think is actually harder to pull off (or intricate nail art). I think it’s a bit like a temporary tattoo for the hands, except actually in great colors, or in the spirit of henna or just nailpolish in the sense that it’s a way to ornament and draw attention to your hands.
I don’t think it’s so much juvenile as it is whimsical … so if your personality is such that people expect you do do interesting, artistic, or creative things, it’s a ton of fun … and if you haven’t managed to cultivate that personality, if you’re brave enough, it’s a fun way to show a bit more character.
I also think 24 hours or so is an appropriate lasting time for something like this – it’s fun for a night out .. not so fun to have on at work every day for a week … unless you want to refresh it.
I wonder if you could use masking tape so it would be easier to get even lines? I hope we’ll see you do this again!

That’s interesting to say the least but I absolutely LOATHE the feeling of nail polish on my skin, so I’m gonna pass on trying this out.
Polish on my skin feels annoying. I would hate to paint a ring of polish around my finger. It would drive me crazy to feel it and then when it flaked off because I wash my hands frequently. No thanks.
I LOVE IT because it reminds me of Michael Jackson’s white finger bandages/tapes 🙂 which attracted a lot of attention to his manual form (see this link http://www.inquisitr.com/wp-content/michael-jackson-murdered.jpg ) while dancing even for a fan seated way far away 🙂 LOVE LOVE, maybe also because I’m a Fine Arts graduate 😉

i don’t know if i’ll be wearing it to work…but maybe for a night out it’ll be fun….i like how you’ve done them though i also liked how they did them on the model and left the nails natural. it’s kind of refreshing…
