So… NYX Cosmetics. I remember when they were stuff of legends. Cheap lipsticks that glidddded and delivered pure pigment, eye crayons of the like that modern chubby sticks could only dream of!
We risked life and limb (and the bloody Royal Mail import surcharge) to get our hands on the goodies all the way from the U.S. I had a particularly nasty encounter with one supplier, and it took me months to get my money back for a no-show order.
Ahhh, those were the days. Of total inconvenience.
Well, not anymore… because NYX is about to become more accessible to your average UK makeup-buyer than it ever has before.
From August, NYX Cosmetics will be available to purchase from selected Next stores nationwide… and an even wider range of beauty goodies will be available online, should the instore selection not fulfil your appetite for the U.S. brand.
Just think, no more waiting for American Public holidays to take advantage of sale prices before ordering, no more pacing the floor waiting for the postman, no more crying when you’ve got stung by customs. GOD, there might even be swatching opportunities?
Hold me ladies, I’m pretty excited by this! And I’m itching to try the new Matte Lip Cream shades!

I used to live in a land where NYX was available at my local shop, it is only when I left said lands did I realise what a wonder brand it was – oh cruel life.

I really want to try their new Butter Glosses that are now out in the States – it always takes them so long to release new stuff over here though.

OMG OMG OMG! There used to be a shop that did NYX in a shopping outlet near me and they closed, they had an amazing array of polishes!

I live in the states, but have never tried this brand even though I’ve heard good things about them online. I guess a trip to the beauty store awaits me tomorrow!

Fabulous! I remember being super upset when the US websites were out of stock of my favourites, which was pretty much always.
I have nothing against paying the actual customs duty – the last time I was charged the label showed the customs charge was less than £5 but Royal Mail were charging nearly £12 as an admin charge which I think is ridiculous. There should be some way to pay customs charges without Royal Mail being involved except to deliver it.
I have just discovered the Next in the Trinity Shopping Centre, Leeds sell NYX. Great, I found it sometimes too expensive with p.p online to order NYX. This is great it on my doorstep…
