I’ve been dragging my heels when it comes to getting excited for Autumn. Everyone around me has gone chunky-knit/boot-buying crazy while I’ve been trying to eke out one more wear from my floral palazzo trousers before I vacuum pack them away under the bed for the Winter.
But I’m feeling zen about it now. Infact, I feel quite vindicated seeing as Autumn has now clearly arrived with a vengeance this week. Yeah, you go ahead and shiver in your new chunky knit. You brought this on yourself.
It’s not that I hate Autumn… despite my protestations, it is indeed my favourite season too and I am particularly partial to the new collections that the cooler weather brings. I’m already contemplating vampier lips and more Autumnal blushes. Infact, here’s five Autumn blushers that I bet you don’t own…
1. Cargo – Tonga: A beautiful, muted matte rose with a hint of mauve
2. Makeup Store – Sugarpink: A soft, dusty pink with a touch of earthiness.
3. Becca Pressed Shimmer Powder – Princess: A muted plum with a hint of bronze, scrumminess.
4. Jane Iredale – Cotton Candy: A sparkly plum with shimmer that flatters without looking too glittery.
5. T. Le Clerc – Brun Voile: A sheer, neutral brown that will go perfectly with everything.
What are your favourite Autumn blushers that don’t get the hype they deserve?
I am so proud of the fact that I own Tonga right now!
no.2 looks a lovely shade, replcing my blusher with this one ! xxx
Tonga is so pretty! So is the Becca blush. And the Jane Iredale one…. OK all of them are lovely 🙂
I have Tonga! Can I ask where you got it from as I haven’t found a stockist in the uk with the full range of blushers since Cargo pulled out of Sainsbury’s a few years ago. The Big Easy blush is my ultimate HG.
Hi Joey, BeautyBay stocks it 🙂
Tonga is my HG everyday blush!
It was my first full-size blush and I adore it. It is also perfect as a base for layering other blushes. 🙂
I’m happy to see it getting love on a major blog!
I always feel incredibly guilty when I admit that I don’t actually own any blushes *awkward silence*
I have in the past but I just don’t get on with them, my cheeks are incredibly rosey already and need no further emphasising!
All of your Autumnal choices are very pretty though, I’d happily buy them and just look at them 🙂
my discount supermarket got a haul of elf cosmetics in the other day, so i picked
up a bronzer i’d never seen before (because it’s old? or because i don’t pay
attention?) it’s called “warm tan” healthy bronzing powder. i paid a whole dollar
for it, and i have to say, i REALLY love it. it’s not orange at all, it’s a very
shimmery mud color that i can’t get enough of. i use it as a contour and blush
and it makes a very pretty cheek (not muddy at all). i’m not normally a shimmer
person because my skin tends to get oily during the day, but this stuff is REALLY
pretty. i use a kabuki brush with it & sort of pat it in the hollows of my cheeks and then just lightly sweep it on my cheekbones. my new fave fall obsession.
