It may not have escaped your attention (astute lot that you are) that Lipglossiping.com has been suffering from some loading and slowness issues. Infact, it’s been pretty poor since that initial long downtime back in December/January.
I kept thinking that perhaps it would get better and accepting temporary solutions to save myself the hassle and anxieties that moving webhosts brings. But it’s time to face the simple truth that it’s getting worse, not better.
I’ve now signed up to a new hosting company based in the UK and am currently migrating all files and databases over to the new service. Hopefully you won’t experience any changes in uptime while this is happening (heck, it can’t get much worse can it?) but if the site does disappear for a day or two, at least you’ll know why.
I hope that this is the last time I’ll have to do this for a long while… I’ll be biting my nails that I don’t lose anything in the big move.
Thanks for your patience, I know it’s been a pain in the arse.
Hey, it has to be done. Fingers crossed it’ll all go well. But the site has been very slow loading on my Mac and that really shouldn’t happen. You’re doing the right thing.
good luck – I will keep my finger and toes crossed for you! xxx
Oh God, don’t get me started on web hosting issues!
I opened an account with FatCow – don’t bother with them! Useless customer service and their ‘live chat’ is a bunch of c&p bullshit and overuse of exclamation marks. I cancelled my account after mere hours of opening it because their back end is borked and, as I said, the customer service is shite! I have only been refunded less than half of what I paid! I AM INFURIATED
…Ahem. Glad you’re getting your issues sorted out. I will be keeping an eye on how well MHHosting works for you, maybe I’ll follow!
Good luck with this!
Good luck with the move! x
Good luck. I hope it all goes smoothly. There is enough in life to worry about without your web host being a tool. We’re on the cusp of outgrowing our current package, and hopefully our current house should be able to accommodate us, as changing companies is a bit of a step into the unknown.
Charlotte do not under any circumstances let this situation lead you to nail biting. Think of the nail varnish!!
Good luck to you (and I guess the mister) *fingers crossed*
Also, steer clear of the nail biting – wouldn’t want anything to ruin those lovely nails!
Fingers crossed for you! It sounds like a complete hassle that you could well do without!
