Bryan Lacey is a man on a mission!
Appointed “The Complimentor” by new TV Channel QVC Beauty, he’s been dedicating November to dishing out feel-good compliments to people on the streets of London and online at QVCBeauty.
He says:
“The world is a very serious place at the moment, but there is always room for a compliment. They are simple to give and great to receive so I’m hoping that I can spread 100,000 little moments of happiness, which will brighten up the receiver’s day. To hit the target I have to give away roughly two compliments a minute, but I’m confident I can be chivalrous until the end.”
I haven’t even been paid a compliment and I’ve still got a smile on my face after watching that!
What’s the nicest compliment you’ve received lately? Or if you haven’t… be sure to drop The Complimentor an email at hello@thecomplimentor.com before the 15th November to receive yours!
Great idea QVC!
Aren’t you lovely for sharing this with everyone on such a grey day, I am smiling now too!
Haha, sooo cheesy but cute, thanks for sharing! I got complimented on my skin very recently, I must say it was deserved 😛 I’m pretty happy about how it looks nowadays.
This did make me smile, as does getting compliments, but I don’t know that I’d take a compliment from someone employed to do it seriously. Its the equivalent of going up to someone and saying ‘compliment me’. They have to say something! Real compliments come unprompted!
I love it! I don’t care if its contrived, Bryan Lacey is lovely and so are the folks at QVC for entertaining the people of London with such a lovely gesture.
Made me laugh! Wish I was passing there to get one too…
What a lovely job! I think it is really important to tell people if they look nice – we all spend so much time in front of the mirror thinking we look hideous (well, I do anyway, once I have put my specs on!).
i got told i was beautiful by a homeless guy the other day i felt it was nice as i’d already told him that i was sorry but i didnt have any spare change, then i felt guilty, maybe it was a mind warp…anyway it made me smile 🙂
