I wanna know… are there any brands out there who don’t do cosmetics that you think absolutely SHOULD?!
I was thinking about this because back in the Summer (remember that? No, me neither), I had the opportunity to meet Liz Earle alongside two other bloggers and one of the questions that was put to her was about the possibility of the brand branching into natural cosmetics.
She answered with a wry smile and a slight twinkle in her eye, I’m thinking it might be a case of “watch this space”… but apart from that little bombshell… it got me to thinking…
.
Which brands would you love to see come out with a cosmetic line?
It could be anyone! From B&Q(erm) to Heinz… from Vivienne Westwood (did that happen in Asia already?) to Apple!
Just don’t say McDonalds. .
Because they shouldn’t. Ever.
Vivienne westwood should never do cosmetics cos that’d be the absolute death of my student loan. I’d starve to death but atleast I’d have pretty lipsttiicckkksss
That picture frightened the bejeezus out of me when it came up in my blogreader. Yeah, so thanks for that.
Liberty should do cosmetics, with different Liberty prints on the packaging. Vivienne Westwood would be good too, but most of the designers who I could see doing it well already do. I still haven’t tried Burberry, I can’t get Daniella Westbrook out of my head every time I think about it.
I would love to see Eve Lom branch out into cosmetics – it would be great if there was a range that wasn’t too heavy, didn’t block your pores and improved skin at the same time. I would love tinted under eye cream, tinted Dynaspot and colourful Kiss Mix.
Gucci please…
Crabtree and Evelyn! Imagine a super moisturising goats milk lipstick, I bet the packaging would be all Paul & Joe-esque too x
Lush should do makeup brushes, then bring out a brush cleanser! 😀
Daphne Guinness, haha.
Aaah! Vivienne Westwood, for real! There are some cosmetic lines that I just wish would be imported from Japan, like Jill Stuart. I’d probably also buy anything made by Marc Jacobs!
I’ve always wondered why Lush don’t do it. Although I believe they used to have a sister shop that did cosmetics? x
Yes, if I recall correctly Lush was born out of Cosmetics To Go and the cosmetics part of the business became B Never Too Busy To be Beautiful but I think they went out of business in 2009 sadly.
I think Stella McCartney should do a cosmetic line
I’d love to see Matthew Williamson do a cosmetics line just because I find his colour palettes so fascinating – beautiful vivid bright colours. Would be exciting to see what he came up with.
Strangely I would love to see Gap do makeup, or maybe a scent. Lush brushes would be excellent especially as it seems to be very difficult to find decent cruelty free brushes these days. Not that keen on clothes shops (eg Topshop, New Look) makeup ranges though.
Pbi: Gap has a TON of scents (at least in North America)! 🙂
For some reason the first brand that came into my head was Mulberry. Not sure why! xx
The White Company for a classy English version of Bobbi Brown. They alrady do nicely packaged smellies.
How ADORABLE would it be if Juicy Couture made cosmetics? I’d be all over it… anyone else? 🙂
apple! what a good idea…the packaging would be to die for…
Topshop and they did. I love it
Accessorize and they did. I neeeeeeeed Aztec after seeing your nails.
H&M and they have. Surprisingly good quality
So now I will say… Whistles.
High end lavishnessnessness.
Oooh the thought.

Oh, no! Whoever would buy a Lipton lipgloss, BP blush or powder, Marmite mascara, Durex double duty liner and shadow and so on… Just imagine the Fisherman’s Friend FOTD 😛
I think some of the brands should never make makeup. Actually, most of the brands.
I sooooo want marmite mascara now! It could be such a great black brown colour!
