Like a moth to the proverbial flame, I found myself in my local backwater Boots yesterday afternoon and they had just put out their latest delivery of BarryM.
Being the dedicated beauty blogger that I am *cough* and remembering that some of you are struggling to source this for yourselves, I thought I’d pick up two of the new Instant Nail Effects Nail Paints for a quick giveaway!

I’d use a deep blood red like Essie Rock the Croc for some Halloween type nails. Fab giveaway! x
I would use a glittery teal like china glaze Atlantis. The bright coloured glitter would look awesome with the matte black crackle on top!

I would use my brand new CND in asphalt. A gorgeous grey ( not griege or grurple actual grey) . Although the comments I would get would be interesting . I wore a matt greige from essence last week and my brother in law to be told me I looked like I had a nail fungus – nice!

Easy, I’d use Leighton Denny Madison – it’s bright so the contrast would be ace 🙂

As I’m completely addicted to purple (and have just received a lovely lot from butter london) I’d use Branwen’s feather, I think the hint of sparkle would look fantastic peeking out from behind the black 🙂
I would use a gorgeous fuchsia such as Leighton Denny So LA, I think it would really work well with the black.x
I would use Opi’s lunch at the delhi 🙂
I would use the Boots Base Coat because it keeps my nails strong and it keeps them from peeling and goes very well underneath BarryM nail polish!

I would choose something bold and bright, like Bright Purple (my only other Barry M, I got it this summer on a trip to London and it’s gorgeous).

I would use a bright orange, for example Barry M’s Coral, 17’s Fire Cracker or ASOS Paint in Olivia (The ones I own) as it would really stand out underneath.
& to me it would like like a volcano (The crust and the lava) haha!

I think I’d choose Illamasqua Jo’Mina as a base coat for the Barry M Instant Nail Effect, because it’s a wonderful bright color. I think it would really “pop” with the black ‘crackle’ effect the Barry M polish gives.

I’d use China Glaze’s Kiwi Cool-ada because I’ve seen that pastels look nicest under it and this is a bright “pastel-ish” shade. Well..more like a pastel with balls.

It’s October! I’d go with Orly’s Old School Orange and work the Halloween angle all month long!

I’d use Zoya’s Harley under it – a light gray with small shimmer in it, including some slightly purple-toned shimmer.
Personally I think it will look best over bright polishes, obviously. I would be most excited to use it over the top of Sleek Turquoise polish which is super bright 🙂
I’d say barry ms mushroom so it looks like an interesting kahki/animal print!
OPI Mother of Pearl – I think it’d look stunning over that duochrome pearlish white.

I was thinking fluoro hot pink initially, but actually I’d like to try it over a muted green like Barry M Lime Green to see if I could get a camoflague/Frankenstein crackle effect going!
I think OPI hot & spicy with a coating of Nfu.Oh 047 on top then the Barry M Instant Nail Effects. It would really make the pattern pop!
OPI Cajun Shrimp would look so punky pop under the Barry M Instant Nail Effects, It totally reminds me of the Avril Lavigne days!

Model’s Own Green Flash – great look for Halloween! I also really like it with the red glitter polish.

I like it over metallics best. I’ve already tried it over models own sterling silver so Barry M gold would be the next one I tried.
