Yesterday I went along to the Bourjois Press Office in central London to have a look at a new line of cosmetics that have been launched exclusively to Boots in the UK.
Une Natural Beauty is a new brand backed by Bourjois. The main focus of the brand is on it’s natural and eco-credentials. The brand’s formulas are 98% – 100% derived from natural origin, contain no oils from petrochemistry and are paraben and silicone free. 14 out of the 20 products carry the French ECOCERT label which means that the products adhere to strict ecological and environmental regulations and standards. You can find out more about the ECOCERT label here.
Une Natural Beauty is a brand for those who take a keen interest in ingredients and the environmental impact their cosmetics may carry with them and simply want to discover a more natural way to wear makeup.
This is all great stuff and frankly an exciting concept for a new high street brand, but only if the products are as good as the philosophy behind them right? I chose a few products from the range to bring home with me to have a play with and I’ll share my thoughts on them (and some of the products I didn’t choose) later in the week.
For now, I thought you might like to see some photos from the unveiling.
Beware… it’s image intensive beyond this point!
Never mind the makeup, it’s those canapes I want. I would not mind swatching those mini bagels on my tongue.
a bit neutral for me, but very delicate and pretty,
love the retro chunky feel of the pencils.
thank you for sharing xx
Oh man, I was dreading the photo of me with no lips turning up on your blog! But apart from that, your photos look fantastic – puts my iPhone “point and shoot” snaps to shame.
I’m looking forward to hearing your take on the items you chose.
Some of the products look great, When will it be released?
Haha I’m with liloo – The canapes look mouth-watering!
I like the unique shape of the eye pencils!
looks very intriguing…do you know if it will be released in Ireland as well?
Beautiful pictures – as always. They truly captured the event and the products.
@Liloo – It’s definitely a neutral line, I didn’t make the most of the canapes, I felt uber poorly after the train journey (wait.. I’ve already said this on twitter to you haven’t I?) xx
@Beauty Scribbler – Awww it’s only ‘cos you’ve got your head tilted whilst laughing! I have to admit though that you’re 10000x more beautiful in real life. Bitch.
@Sabrina – It’s out now in the main Boots down Oxford St, London. It’s also set up and ready to go v .shortly on the Boots Website
@Shortiee – The pencils were my favourite things too!
@Kazooty – I believe that it’s launching in August in Ireland x
@Sheenie – Thanks so much, that means a lot coming from a fellow photo addict x
The photo ad says “I am not dull” so why is the packaging so boring? Why do cosmetic companies think natural means plain and boring packaging? Look at nature…flowers are not dull, neither are birds, tropical fish or even insects. Just my rant. Look forward to reading if the products are any good even though they look dull. 🙂
Do you think they’ll release this in the states soon? I hope so because the packaging is fabuloussss!
So many pretties, yet all I can focus on is the yummy looking food LOL
Lovely pictures!
@ Elizabeth/Makeuptini – You really think the packaging is dull? We think it looks quite premium and love the fact the eyeshadows, blush and some face products have a mirror.
Maybe go into store and get a feel for it, you’ll be plesantly surprised!
This month’s Boots magazine mentioned this brand, so I’ve been curious about it for a few days now. I look forward to reading your reviews!
I love the look of the packaging! everything looks so sleek and clean
I saw this line in Boots (in Guildford) yesterday and it looks BORING. It may be very good for your skin, but not one thing interests me from it. Also the white plastic packaging just looks nasty.
I like that it’s not all about the packaging as more often than not, you get lured into buying makeup because of cute packaging. With this, the colors have to stand on their own. It’s nothing you buy just to put on display.
Too bad we don’t get it over here because it sounds and looks nice
Oh I saw this in a magazine yesterday – I thought the brushes looked really nice and weren’t expensive either, I need to have a little look.
xx
Wow I don’t think the packaging looks dull, it reminds me of Korres (in a good way) in that it’s just plain and lets the product do the talking. Like Kirsty I saw this in Boots’ magazine so am beyond jealous (in a nice way) that you got to go and play about with it xx
[…] had some time to play with the products I chose to bring home with me from the Une Natural Beauty blogger unveiling, I thought I’d share my thoughts on some of the pieces and a little FOTD with […]
I just try UNE last year in Madrid . It was love!
Why I can’t find UNE in Italy? Is possible to buy by mail UNE products?
Thanks.
Paola desperade!
I’m sorry Paola, I don’t know of anywhere you can buy UNE online (apart from Boots) but I don’t think they ship internationally. x
