Paul & Joe‘s Summer collection is due out today! Well…. the rest of it anyway. Two of the lip products have been available since the 7th May, so let’s start with those shall we?
They Say:
No summer make‐up bag is complete without a selection of beautiful lip glosses and Paul & Joe’s latest
range of glosses certainly deliver. Vibrant colours glide onto your lips providing a transparent sheen and
a creamy finish that radiantly reflects the sunlight creating lusciously plump pouts. Active ingredients
such as white lily extract and apricot oil moisturize and add volume, creating long lasting colour…to
keep you going from sunrise to sunset.
They Say:
If you can’t decide between matte or glossy lips this summer, why not choose both with Paul & Joe’s ingenious lip pencil duo?
These moisturising marvels offer two colours and two textures ‐ matte and pearl ‐ in a single product, allowing you to create beautifully smooth contoured lips in the exact colour of your choice. Furthermore, as these multi‐purpose gems all contain jojoba oil and orange flower water they moisturise, soothe and
soften lips to perfection.
They Say:
Make you skin glisten in the sun with Paul & Joe new Shimmering Body Lotion. The gold shimmer is fragranced with a combination of orange flower, jasmine rose and a luxurious musky note, leaving your skin with a long‐lasting, exotic glow. The combination of sage and olive oil soothes skin from the harsh
rays of the summer sun and keeps you looking hot hot hot!
This delicate powder contains a champagne gold shimmer which gives a warm, sublime glow that lasts even in humid conditions. The formulation of this powder, which is available in two shades, ensures that there is a perfect amount of natural shine whilst creating a beautiful translucent semi‐matte finish.
They Say:
Imagine the blazing sun setting on the Sahara’s landscape – stunningly rich pink hues filling the evening
sky… these are the colours of the Paul and Joe Lipstick range, dedicated to the Sahara’s vast land…
Essential oils, such as jojoba and apricot hydrate lips and create a gorgeous shine – and just like the
packaging, lips never looked so enticingly exotic.
I say:
I find P&J lippies a touch too sheer for me, though admittedly very comfortable to wear. I’m intrigued by the lip pencils and finishing powder though. And the packaging? Divine as always.
The Sahara Sparkles Collection is available from Fenwick, New Bond Street and Harrods, Knightsbridge.
Too much free advertising for Paul & Joe, too little comment. If we want to read advertising blurb we can get that from the weekly glossies. Nobody takes any notice of the cobblers beauty PRs write but they do look to blogs for honest criticism. Hope you don’t lose that edge in favour of advertising.
@Linda
Hello Linda, I’m sorry you feel that way.
In over a year of Lipglossiping.com – this is actually my first P&J post. I don’t know about you, but I read blogs for all manner of reasons and one of them is to cast my eye over new product releases. I also always ask PR companies for their high res images of any new collections so that I can post the photos as large as my blog allows… I personally get frustrated when I need a magnifying glass to see what the product looks like.
As for “advertising” well so as to dispel any potential myth. I receive nothing in return for displaying new collections other than (occassionally) a few pieces to try.
Ultimately, I pick up no wage from this blog. My motivation Is to write things that interest me. This interests me.
Hopefully, they’ll be something along tomorrow that interests you but thank you for your feedback.
ah we don’t have paul and joe in Ireland!
I like the look of tangerine myself!
sheer bliss looks so gorgeous!
I just can’t believe they called a lipstick “Caravan”.
If you put any of these products side by side with big posh brands like chanel, yves st laurent, I would still prefer the look of paul & joe. I’ve said it before, o m g, the packaging is just divine. how gorgeous are these. I mean that shimmering body lotion: jesus, this looks like a painting and the detailing in the lid. woah! This actually reminds of a gorgeous illamasqua shimmering lotion you reviewed recently: well, this blows illamasqua out of the water.
@Linda I am really happy that charlotte does posts like these. I very rarely buy magazines and would not have known about this otherwise. No disrespect but if you read this blog more often, you’d realise that this kind of posts represents a minute minority of posts. To my mind this post means ‘I am excited about this newcoming range, I am not sure whether I am going to buy it but I want to share my lemming with you’. This blog to my mind is also a kind of forum, where we can collect from people’s comments, insights on whether these products are worth buying, unique or whether some cheaper dupes, similar colours somewhere else and make our own opinions on it. In other words, behind the gorgeous hi res pictures, there’s a person like you and me who wants to know whether she should buy the products or not. As for the references on where you can buy the products, if this was not written, she would have been swamped by questions on where to get the products.
How gorgeous is this packaging?! Just thought I’d let you know asos.com sell a small selection of this range, I’m hoping they’ll get some more in, that lipgloss is calling me! Thanks Charlotte xx
I had a look on asos again, turns out they do the whole range, including a nail polish, which comes in 3 really pretty colours! Yay, more lip gloss for me! Also, delivery is free – bonus! Hope this is helpful xx
