New out this week is Bourjois’ Elastic Mascara… complete with rather funky packaging!
They were putting these out on the shelves of my local Superdrug last Friday but I couldn’t see any testers so was unable to check out the wand and brush – boo!
I was also on my way back from my sk:n appt so I didn’t wanna hang around too long with my uber-flushed red bits on show, but I’m going back into town this afternoon to check it out.

The new Elastic Mascara achieves 130% more visible length to the lashes with its innovative, ultra-lengthening elastic formula and lash-extending brush.
The brush is the essential partner to the mascara and has two parts: the reservoirs which release the formula along the whole length of the lash, and the long, fine bristles to stretch the formula and visually increase the length of every single lash. All lashes, even the shortest and finest, are stretched to the maximum leaving them intensely smoothed and coated from root to tip.
I do love me a bit of lengthening mascara, there haven’t been too many new high street mascara releases recently have there?

I’ve recently had a bit of a mascara purge (threw away 7 of the damn things)… so I think I can treat myself to some new mascara love.
In other mascara news, I keep reaching for my YSL Singulier in an attempt to finish it off… I’m just not that keen on it especially considering it’s price tag. I’m kinda loving my L’oreal Telescopic Explosion (controversial choice?) but it’s a bit of a faff to apply…
I think I should get back on my ‘mascara series‘ wagon, I’ve been through so many tubes and forgotten to review them – bad blogger!
What are your current mascara favourites and will you be checking out this latest offering from Bourjois?

I also saw this in my local superdrug last week and the packaging definitely caught my eyes and it has me wondering. I couldn’t even have a proper look at it as the hubby was dragging me across the store as we were supposed to only pick up brushes… (classic!) I love Bourjois mascaras so I can’t wait to get my hands on this one.
Oooo, don’t think I’d be buying this cos I have plenty of mascaras to try at the moment but i’d love to hear about it just for curiosity. Thank you for the heads up about the 3 for 2 on bourjois, eee, yay. Are there any other 3 for 2 as well at boots, do you know?
oo this interests me. i’m a big bourjois fans and own a couple of their mascaras that i use on and off. interested to see what this is like from the description it sounds pretty interesting xx

It looks like a toilet brush, I can’t see how you’d get a grip on it properly to apply it.
The only thing I get on with from Bourjois is their eyeshadow and foundation, they go dark enough for my skin colour. I’m allergic to their pencils and their mascaras have never worked on me.
This comment sounds really negative but I’d still like to see a review of it.

I’m using BadGal Lash (?) by Benefit currently but it smears on me really badly and I end up with awful panda eyes. I sometimes use a Volum Express (?) by Maybelline but it doesn’t give my lashes the oomph I like so I’m in the market for a new wonder wand!
I don’t like the look of this one at all. The formula looks really wet and the brush looks really messy. It’s plastic and has teeth rather than bristles and it doesn’t look like there is enough of them to separate lashes. I haven’t had much luck with Bourjois mascaras though, I’m not keen on the formula being so wet. I’d love to see what you make of it though.
Oooh, must check this one out! I need some new mascara and I’m more about the length than the thickness (oo-er!).
I’m currently flitting between Rimmel Sexy Curves, Max Factor Masterpiece and L’Oreal Telescopic Explosion which I really love now I’ve got the hang of the brush. Took me a while though! 🙂 x
