Second in my highlighter series is the highly regarded NARS Albatross (£19.50).
Albatross looks an almost pure white in the pan (as the name would suggest!) But when swatched, gives the most beautiful pale gold sheen that flatters most skintones pale or dark.
My one observation would be that it’s quite easy to go overboard with this highlighter. Instant disco ball. I generally use a fan brush to pick up the powder before sweeping lightly over my cheekbones. I also use this on my cupids bow, tip of my chin and on the brow bone. It’s a beautifully versatile product that I whole heartedly recommend!
That will be my next purchase!!! Thank you!
This is one of my favorite products. I use it only on my brow down and sometimes on the inner corner of my eye since they are a little deep and dark. Also this can make a fun liner (particularly under the eye) when wetted AND sometimes I dust it over matte shadows to give a little more dimension (much like the ‘transformers’ put out by some lines). Great product and a little goes a long way!
Love NARS Albatross and right behind it, the Orgasm Illuminator. Both gives such an amazing glow. I use Albatross more often as it takes less time when applying, the illuminator requires some blending.
I picked up Albatross at Sephora a few years ago on a gift card fueled whim… and ever since, we’ve been best friends. I have a ton of makeup, but only ONE highlighter. Albie (yes, it’s been nicknamed) is just plain awesome, and I’ve never felt the need to look elsewhere. Not even your awesome highlighter series can make me stray.
Well… probably not. Heh.
It’s so pretty 🙂 it kinda reminds me of my Ben Nye Iced Gold shadow, which I use as a highlighter!
Oh sigh I have wanted NARS albatros for sooooo long…
Nars is just so bloody expensive in NZ 🙁
Love your blog
I nominated you for Sunshine Blog Award 🙂
