We’re used to seeing beauties Hilary Rhoda, Carolyn Murphy, Liz Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow grace the Estee Lauder campaigns, but now we’ll be seeing these two lovelies aswell:
Constance Jablonski is a french model hailing from Lyon, she’s been very much in demand on the catwalks recently, featuring in shows such as Derek Lam, Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors to name but a tiny few.
Liu Wen, China’s brightest fashion star broke through in 2008 and has walked shows such as Alexander Wang, Fendi and Balenciaga.
Estee Lauder are moving with the times… they’re blatantly working very hard to shift that association as being a bit of a ‘granny’ brand.
Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Global Brand President of Estée Lauder says:
“We are thrilled to introduce Constance and Liu Wen to women around the world. Both models have the style and confidence that reflects Estée Lauder’s modern vision of global beauty.”
Personally… I totally associate the Estee Lauder brand with rich old ladies, maybe I always will… but for me, that’s not a bad thing. Those rich old ladies don’t put up with shit and as a result, I’ve generally found EL counter staff to be among the best, with the products to match.
There’s something to be said for being the matriarchs… they have their niche, they should embrace it.
Old lady brands are amazing, look at chanel!
and Liu Wen is GORGEOUS. =D
At least one of their models is Asian…perhaps to appeal to weathly East Asian ladies who would usually shop at Chanel?
The both look beautiful, I’m glad that Estee Lauder have chosen an Oriental woman for their campaign. I would definitely pay more attention to their adverts if they had a model that had a similar skintone, haircolour etc to me x
i agree with everyone. it’s so nice to see a representation of me in the media somehow. they’re both gorgeous!
but i can see your point. however, as long as they keep using some older faces as well, i don’t think the “matriarchs” will discontinue using EL. it would be nice to see a campaign that embraces all nationalities and ages.

Estee Lauder will always be a granny brand for me too, especially since I grew up with my mum having their products in her makeup bag 😛
I love how Chanel tried to appeal to a younger audience by using Vanessa Paradis for the lipstick campaign, but dude, even though we all know Johnny Depp is with Vanessa Paradis, few of us actually know what she looks like XD so a lot of people just referred to her as the pretty model.
So yeah, Chanel will always be an older woman brand for me too.

Estee’s products are top notch. My grandmother loved the brand, too but my mother simply loves the quality of their pencils, both for eyes and lips alike. I want to save for a bunch of their Double Wear Stay in Place pencils. I almost used up an eye palette my mom gave me, their shadows are so easy to blend…
I like that the Pixiwoo (Youtube) sisters Sam and Nic Chapman use Estee Lauder pencils a lot and show that it really is an awesome brand…
They should focus on just changing the horrible packaging. They do have amazing products though!
