    Enter me please =D

I am soooooooooo not a morning person! Im a night owl through and through. My top tip for early starts? give yourself something to look forward to, be it a nice breakfast coffee or a squirt of your fave perfume. Luckily i work from home and rarely move out of my bed muahahahhaah xxx

  2. Id say im neither lol,im probably a mid day person,my tip for looking alert is to constantly think you might bump into someone from the past lol, that or lots of water and a highlighter stick.x

  3. Leanne says:

Hahaaa! I’m certainly not a morning person although I’ve gotten really crap at staying up late recently too. The thing that makes me look the most awake is splashing my face with cold water, drinking a glass of it, a hefty dose of moisturiser followed by a slathering of Fero Cosmetics light reflecting concealer on my dark circles before the rest of my makeup. Done!

  4. liloo says:

Night owl definitely. Sorry I can’t give any tips :S

  5. Tanya says:

I’m definitely a night person however if I have to be up early I put my Ipod on and play some of my favourite tunes and that usually wakes me up and puts me in a good mood 🙂

  6. Fee says:

I’m so a night person, I seem to get a lot more work done at night at stay up far to late.

As for what I do to look alert – Touche Eclat is a must as an under eye concealer and eyelash curlers seem to open my eyes a lot more.

I’m also having a giveaway that you may be interested in at http://www.makeupsavvy.blogspot.com

  7. Eyelining says:

Ooh neither. I love sleep too much! I could quite happily be in bed by 9pm and sleep till midday. The old trick of white pencil in the corners of your eyes works for me. I like some of the ‘wake up’ type frangenced shower things at Lush to perk you up as well. Failing that lemon and ginger tea 🙂

  8. Jane says:

Enter me please:) and I’m up for the night. It’s reallly bad I have like exams the same day but yet I still end up falling asleep at like 1.30am:(

Oh and tips to make you look alert? feel alert and drink tea, two sugars:P

a night person definitely – my ME gives me insomnia but it also makes me sleep forever hence in the morning I feel dead – tips for looking good make up moisturiser and washing my face always revives me 🙂

  10. sarah says:

i am a morning person, no matter what time i sleep in night(it can be 10 pm or 4 am) i have some natural alarm which make me wake up 8 am in the morning.its been going on forever. There are few tips to keep your mind and eyes open no matter how much you are day dreaming about pillows as homer simpson
1-Stay hydrated.Drink as much as you can,so naturally you will have urge to pee You should be going every two to four hours, so this run to washroom will keep you on your feet
2-if you are driving and wants to sleep, always keeps a wet towel in a plastic sealable bag on his passenger seat. When you start to get tired, put the wet towel on forehead or neck and then blasts the cold air. This short blast of cold air on your face will keep you alert and awake when your head starts to droop.
3- I try not to sit/lie on cozy bed, sofa or anything soft and warm. i just get up and take a little walk in my lounge and spy on neighbors through window.Move around. Stimulate your body by taking a brief walk outside or around ,you’ll feel more alert.
4-Play some music you love. You will probably want to stay away from anything that may lull you to sleep like classical music, so play some fun music that you can sing along to. Who cares who sees you belting out oldies or country songs or hip-hop? You must do whatever you can to stay awake.

    :))))

    hope it helps 🙂

  11. ykhang says:

I am a night person for sure! And to look awake, I drink COFFEEEEEEE!

  12. Victoria says:

I’m a night person. I try to look human by applying as much makeup as possible and drinking lots of tea/coffee! xx

  13. katy says:

I’d say I am more a night person as long as I’m not tired, I tend to get quite grumpy if I’m tired. I either drink coffee or red bull depending what I’m doing xx

  14. Ally says:

I’m a night person without a doubt. But i do know if i wake up early and seize the day..i really am more productive than at night. I fall asleep anyhwere..the amount of times ive been the loser fast asleep on the tube is riduculous. They say ‘never say never’ and i always said i would never fall asleep on the tube. Ha! University took it out on me. I fall asleep in seconds on a plane. Whoever i travel with always find that hilarious. I miss all the food and and movies and drinks and snacks. And i wake up at the destination hungry beyond belief.

Looking alert? Damned if i know.

  15. Sophie says:

I am not a morning person! I would rather sleep in the day and be up all night..

To help myself when I feel tired and minging I always find that washing/cleansing my face splashing it with cold water and slapping on some face cream and eye cream and putting a couple of cold spoons on my eyes always helps me feel more awake and fresh.

Make up always helps too, of course. But I normally forget and rub my tired eyes and end up looking a mess.

  16. Nina says:

I am definitely a night person. I drink copious amounts of coffee and pile on the concealer to help me look awake.

  17. thiamere says:

    im a night person..
    i sleep at 4am
    @_@

    looking alert,huh…
    hmmm…..

eyedrops really does the trick & a good blush!
    ^_~

  18. Lorraine says:

I am only a morning person after I have had my two mugs of coffee… Night person ? Definitely not ! I enjoy my evenings, but come the 10o’clock news all I dream about is my comfy pillow !
Best tip for looking awake: coffee… and loads of it… and a ton of concealer !

  19. Jasmine says:

I am a morning person! I just wash my face with cold water and put eyeliner to look more alive lol.

  20. Laura says:

I’m more of a night person! I’d skip black eyeliner and use a light coloured eyeshadow (e.g. MAC Shroom) in the inner eye area to brighten tired eyes!

  21. Halifax says:

I’m a night person, but have to get up early to get ready for work. Still can’t get used to it.

I guess applying makeup wakes me up, as I look better in the mirror and that motivates me to get out of the house 🙂

  22. Nicole says:

Can I be a mid-day person? I used to be a night owl but lately I find myself passing out by 10-11pm but no matter how much sleep I get I can’t happily get out of bed before 8am. I do force myself up at 6:30 every morning and the best thing for me is a nice warm shower. Failing that, under eye concealer!

  23. Rocaille says:

I’m more of a morning person, but in general I just get too little sleep so usually have to fight exhaustion by the end of the day… Eating fruit and drinking lots of water/herbal tea helps to get rid of the feeling of heaviness.

What my husband does when he’s very sleepy though, is that he asks me to massage his scalp vigorously for a couple of minutes or… he starts screaming. He claims it bursts his adrenaline levels and helps him stay alert 🙂

  24. Essjay23x says:

I’m actually more of a morning person. I’d go back to bed at lunchtime (if I was so lucky) but I don’t find it too hard to get out of bed in the mornings. Fresh start thing, I guess but by lunchtime, I know that the new day is the same old and look forward to hiding away at home again. Whenever I’m tired, the only thing to keep me going is to actually get on with whatever needs doing. The longer I rest or put chores off, the less likely they are to get done.
Benfit’s Erase paste, straightners and a nice scent can also make me feel more alive!

  25. I am FOR SURE a NIGHT PERSON! As a matter of fact, I was up until 330am this morning working on MY blog and watching/uploading on YouTube! LOL! This morning, I made sure to liberally apply my Erase Paste by Benefit to my oh, so dark circles and set it with their Powderflage to brighten. I always go for a shimmery nude/peach look when I want to look more awake too! The stop I made on my way to work, after getting up 2.45 hours after my bed time was for a Red Bull. I always try to remain busy and generally that will keep me from falling asleep in the corner….and SMILE! 🙂 When all else fails, just roll back over and forget the day! 🙂

  26. Wow, this looks cool! I am a morning AND night person, I wish I never had to sleep. When I’m tired I always take advantage of my undereye concealer. I’ve also been using the NYX jumbo pencil in Cottage Cheese in my inner v’s, it really brightens your eyes without being as bold as a white (it’s more of a silvery white).

  27. Caz says:

Im a night person, I hate waking up and would quite happily stay up all night!
I usually find that using a highlight under the brow makes me look more awake and plenty of under eye concealer.

  28. Glamorouxx says:

I am definitely night person. I enjoy staying up late and doing my own things privately when the other people are sleeping.
I find good and moisturising under eye concealer and a cup of coffee the best things when I need to look like have had plenty of sleep at night.

  29. cheryl says:

Im a night person and i drink alot of coffee to get me though the day.

  30. Cat says:

I’m definitely a morning person! My secrets include a quick 10 minute yoga session to stretch, a hot/cold shower to wake me up, Eye Bright by Benefit, and a double espresso latte! And for some reason, I think having a well thought out outfit makes people believe you had more sleep and didn’t have 5 minutes to get dressed because you wanted to stay in bed longer. So I usually lay out what I’m wearing the next day. 🙂

  31. Rhamnousia says:

DEFFO a night person, I’m a woolly mammoth in the mornings (mood wise, not body hair wise..thankfully!)

When I need to LOOK alert in the mornings I use a nude/pink coloured pencil on my waterline and a nice pink blush.

When I need to BE alert in the mornings a frappachino always perks me up (I like to think this is the case but it’s probably just the semi brain freeze I get from all the coldness of it).

    xx

  32. Heather says:

I am definitely a night owl 🙂 My tips for looking alert is covering my dark circles (most important!) and drinking tons of mountain dew 🙂 Haha, but I always end up yawning constantly throughout the day–no way to avoid that part! 🙂

Thanks for such a fun giveaway 🙂

  33. Elizabeth says:

I’m a night person. To be alert in the morning I take a shower – that wakes me up! Then I put on makeup (use a bright lipstick) and eat breakfast.
If I’m still tired after that sometimes I’ll eat a piece of candy. The sugar will make me alert for a brief moment.

The best way for me to be alert in the morning if all the other stuff doesn’t work is seeing a bright blue sky. Then I feel like being active. If its gray out I just can’t get motivated. I’m solar powered. 😀

  34. Rebecca says:

    Nice giveaway!
I think I’m both! I definitley concentrate well in the morning and I like getting up early and having all day to do stuff because I feel more productive. However I HATE getting up for work.

I also love staying up late at night because that generally means that I don’t have to go to work in the morning.

To look alert I conceal my dark circles apply a small amount of white eyeliner pencil (I like Urban Decay) to my waterline, curl my eyelashes and apply mascara!

  35. Julia says:

I used to be a morning person but am becoming a night person as of recent. as a result, i’ve ended up skipping quite a few lectures recently ):

To look alert, I apply white kohl liner at the inner corners of my eyes, and apply dark gel liner (: oh and splash cold water on your face a few times while rinsing to improve blood circulation. Oh and a good tip to feel more alert is to drink some water (learnt it from my biology teacher and has worked most of the time for me).

  36. Francesca says:

Hey, Im definately not a morning person as I used to love my lie-ins, but having a baby you get used to it fast! lol! My tip is too use a illuminator under your foundation such as clarins beauty flash balm, or no7’s highlighting cream. It hides a multitude of sins and makes you look fresh. Also, wearing a fresh scented perfume can make you feel more awake. I reccomend davidoff cool water :)xx

  37. Nina says:

Night person, for definate! I get awful dark circles so I either use Bo-ing! from Benefit or Laura Mercier Secret Concealer to evaporate those, and then always go for a pale gold or peachy shadow to brighten the lids – stay away from the eye liner too on tired days because I’ve got quite deep set eyes.
Generally go for a more fresh, lighter make up look on those tired days.

  38. I’m definitely a night person, and late in the week person too, I dont get motivated til about thursday lol my tips are to drink some coffee, go for a natural makeup look with a white highlight around the eye.

  39. pfefi says:

I’m a night person but the people at my new job schedule 6,7,8am meetings soooo I might have to start being a morning person. (:

I use MUFE in 120 which matches at my jawline but I think overall it’s a little light for me. HOWEVER when I pack it on under my eyes it makes me look 100000% more awake because it camouflages my under-eye bags really well (and naturally!). So, that’s my tip. c: Well, that and super-curled lashes and a waterproof mascara to set/keep the curl.

  40. I used to be a night person in college but now I’m much more of a morning person (though I still hate it!). To look awake I use my trusty ELF undereye concealer and I drink coffee pretty much all morning until lunchtime. It keeps me from snacking and keeps me awake.

  41. Marie says:

I used to be a morning person, and then a night person, but now I’m a never person. If I could, I would genuinely spend all day in bed.

  42. Tish says:

    Enter me please!

I was never a morning person, so I’m quite lucky that I work the night shift. But when the situation calls for me to be up early, I take a long shower, eat a hearty meal, do a fresh-faced look, and give myself a good laugh.

  43. I am toooooootally a night person – I wish I had a job that let me wake up after noon and go to bed at 2am! Or maybe I’ll just become a vampire 🙂

Hmm as for my tips, I smother my eye area (okay maybe not that much) in peach/salmon concealer, and then set it with a bit of matte white/light highlight powder. Not too much though, because then it looks like freakish reverse racoon eyes. Then I usually apply a peachy blush and gloss, to add some colour so I dont look like a corpse.

For eyes, I’ll usually just do a wash of champagne shimmer all over the eye area and inner corner, and only apply mascara on the top lashes.

Rolling around in copious amounts of coffee or Red Bull also helps 😛

  44. Angela says:

I am definitely a night person. When I feel tired, I usually drink coffee or take a quick shower.

  45. Christina says:

I am most definitely a night person. I loathe the morning unless I haven’t gone to sleep yet and getting up early is a real torture for me. But in life you end up having to get up in the morning so my only real trick for looking awake is eyeliner and blush. I tend to look pale when I am tired so those two staples make me look a bit perkier.

  46. Jasmine says:

I’m a morning person that’s good at doing late nights too! Haha.

When I’m really sleepy I take a shower and let my hair air-dry so the cool sensation wakes me a little. I keep away from the the heavy meals. Big food makes me sleep in a wink.

To look alert, I pick a lighter foundation/shimmery highlighter around my eyes, after concealer and a gel-type eye cream (oily ones make ithem puffier or so I feel). Then I use my blackest black mascara so the contrast wakes me up immediately. I also use a really white and pearl/metallic eyeshadow on the inner corner and lower outer lash line.

One last trick is Rohto (Japanese brand) eye drops. Those are crack I am serious, they give your eyes this relaxing minty coolness that soothes and wakes you up altogether.

  47. Gina says:

I’m actually a night person, but that’s just me… tend to be really sleepy in he mornings, but as soon as the night arrives, I’m feeling very active and ready to go out there!

  48. Shela says:

I’m pretty versatile when it comes to waking up and looking awake so I could deal with both day and night. To look more awake and alive, I find that concealer under the eyes is important. And also a little highlight under the brows, on the cheek bones and at the inner corners of the eyes. And of course– I always define my eyes with a liner!

  49. Jo says:

Im niether… Im tired 24/7 🙁 you know how it is Char, running around after a little one all day long, it knackers us out :(. I dont have any tips, when Im tired Im tired and it shows haha. Enter me still though please!!! lol.

    xxxx

  50. caz says:

I’m an all the time person. Seriously, might just be due to my being a young’un, but I can happily survive on 3/4 hours sleep a night, so late nights coupled with early mornings are easy peasy…and all I really do to look awake is cold water to the face, mascara to open the eyes up, and some hot molten caffiene.
I haven’t had more than 3 hours uninterupted sleep a night for about a month now and I feel good, although Im suspicious Im having a fight-club moment and I’m really knackered and my alter ego is planning to bring down corporate america…

  51. Mimi says:

I’m a night person. I’m not really fond of daylight either, so I would rather just be awake after dark.
To look awake, I take a few deep breaths of cold air, splash cold water in my face, and streach. Then I put on my happy face and act a little hyper.

  52. dr. says:

I’m neither. I love sleep so much 🙂 to look alert I use a light colored e/s like stila wheat. Having a healthy breakfast & a cup coffee helps too.

  53. Nicole says:

I am so not a morning person! I perform much better at night, however with a 6 year old, I have gotten used to getting up early.
If I could only do 1 thing in the morning (aside from teeth brushing etc) it would be to use a cream blush and use a little on my lips – makes me look far more awake. If I have more time (but not enough for full face makeup), then concealer , eyedrops & mascara work wonders!

  54. May says:

That palette is so dreamy! I’m definately a night person I’m terrible at mornings. My wide awake tip is putting a good, light reflecting concealer on the sides of your nose between your eyes. I also find bopping around to your favourite tunes in the morning when you get up gives you a good kick-start when you’re feeling tired!

  55. PapayaBunny says:

I’m far more of a night person — I sometimes try the pulling my hair back into a tight ponytail trick. Doesn’t always work though!

  56. Helen says:

I normally consider myself to be a night person – unfortunately spending virtually the whole of February in the Children’s Ward at hospital has meant enforced early nights – think 9 o’clock. However have been drinking plenty of water (oh yes.. alcohol not allowed either!) and eating fairly sensibly (apart from pinching the occasional malteser off my daughter) so not looking too bad/tired at the moment. Might have even broken my coffee addiction which can’t be a bad thing.

  57. Joanne P says:

definately not a morning person, im like half dead in the mornings. i would spray my face with fix plus or evian facial mist to wake me up!

  58. Jessica says:

I’m a morning person, no doubt about it. After 10 pm my eyes feel so tired. I usually think of my mother in law to keep me awake. I hope she doesn’t read this, but she really gets on my nerves. Just thinking about her gets me a little agitated. Guaranteed to keep me awake….

  59. Jay says:

Defoinitely a morning person – I look rougher as the day progresses! Wide awake tip – use a mineral spray on your skin to make it look fresher, and re-apply concealer to cover those dark circles!

  60. desiiGirl87 says:

im a night person for defo!!
shame i have to be up early every day for work..
my best tips for looking awake are a bit of white on the inner coners of my eyes, to brighten them up.
and ice to get rid of any puffiness under my eyes!

  61. Aedd says:

I am a night person BIG time. Unfortunately, that typically leads to me staying up late, and I work early in the morning!

My best tip isn’t really a beauty tip, but it works well for me. I always find something to laugh about, and keep laughing and smiling through out the morning. People always ask why I’m so ‘awake’ so early lol

  62. carla says:

I am a morning person, but to wake up I think using a body scrub and face scrub in the shower helps, and if all else fails plenty of diet coke!

  63. rijaH says:

Hmm Im a night and morning person actually and I dont really wear that much makeup so that I have a trick to look more awake :S I dont have black circles around my eyes so I think that helps me look way more awake every hour of the day 😛

  64. Lola says:

    I am night person !
To look more awake, I use concealer and BLACK mascara on my eyes. This tends to make the eyes look bigger and the whites of my eyes, whiter.

  65. Kae says:

I am definitely a night person! I do something I really like to take my mind off fatigue. Ever stay up waaaay too late because you can’t stop reading a book that got really good?

  66. Lucy says:

    I’m definately a night person – I’m practically nocturnal!

A good mascara, foundation and a bottle of diet coke are my perk-ups for those unfortunate times when I have to get up early…. (damn you work!)

  67. laura says:

a morning person defs… my alarm goes off and i’m up straight away. wash face, moisturise, conceal the dark bits, curl eyelashes and mascara. done!

  68. Dv says:

This is something I’m an expert at! 😛 When you wake up, brush your teeth (duh) and shower, etc. Have a nice strong cup of coffee (of course, don’t do this everyday!) and begin with makeup. For makeup, don’t go overboard thinking that you have to cover up all the tired-ness.

When you cleanse your face, for example, splash with freezing cold water a good 7-8 times (yes… I DO count :P) to get blood rushing to your face. You’ll feel a bit more awake. Then, pat dry, and gently massage moisturizer onto your face, mixed with your SPF.

Let the moisturizer soak in, and do your normal foundation, etc. For concealer, dab a spot on the inner corner of your eye, and the outer corner, and blend in. If your bags are really bad, and the cold water splashing didn’t do much (which it should) then use ice on them, before makeup application.

Apply a wash of flesh coloured shadow onto your lids, nothing big. Fill in and groom brows, and apply a highlight colour to your brow bone, top of cheek bone and any where else you may need it. Of course, go with some brown/black eyeliner on the top lid, and for the bottom, use a white/flesh coloured eyeliner on the water line, and using an angled liner brush, place a dark brown shadow on your lower lashline, to make your white waterline stand out, it will make you look sooo awake. Curl lashes, and apply mascara, lightly. Don’t forget to set your face with a translucent powder, etc.

For your cheeks apply a soft coral blush, contour if needed, and finish off with a glossy balm on your lips.

As for actually feeling awake, why not do some yoga before your shower. Get up half an hour earlier than usual to do this, and trust me, you feel GREAT after you shower! Instead of yoga, you could do a bit of jogging, or some jumping jacks, etc.

Try to move about as much as you can. No, don’t go hyper 😛 Just don’t sit there and let your eyelids droop!

Haha, well that was long! But that’s exactly what I do if I’ve had a long night (my long nights finish around 3ish in the morning :P) and the yoga is the key, for me. It honestly makes you feel like you had 12 hours sleep. 🙂

  69. RaeRae says:

Sometimes I wonder if I’m nocturnal… So definitely night person. It sounds a bit mad but if I have to get up early I tend to wake up a good hour and half/2 hours before I leave the house so I can drink a cup of tea and not have to rush my makeup. If I’ve had some time to wake up before having to face the world life tends to work better!

  70. styleezta says:

I’m definitely a MORNING person!! Can’t do much at night and if I do I usually look like I’m falling asleep doing it LOL
I use concealer to hide those signs of puffiness and dark circles! brightens up the eye area. OH and always curl your lashes!

  71. Pasiphae says:

I’m a morning person and there’s nothing I love more than to be outside all day, shopping, eating out, having coffee with friends. When I feel sleepy and/or look tired I try to listen to music that makes me feel alert (like salsa etc) and I put on a good concealer (Benefit “Confessions of a Concealaholic” does the trick) and a bright lipstick to perk me up!

  72. Cry says:

I’m a morning person! I do not sleep till late, simply I can’t!
TO be awake in the night I usually keep my mac on and do as much things as i can togheter!
Fortunately I do not have dark cicles under my eyes, sometimes I put on my concealer, ut not so necessary.

  73. gio says:

I’m definitely a morning person. My wide awake tip is to use concealer to hide dark circles and white eyeshadows on the inner corners of the eyes.

  74. Deanna G. says:

I’m a night person & I just try to wear bright colors and shimmers! And also make sure to hide those dark circles under my eyes!

  75. b says:

Hmm, I’m mostly night person but once I wake up in the morning – I’m awake! 😀 I don’t have any special tips. For me, brushing my teets and fresh breath really helps in the morning. 😀

  76. emily says:

I’m an afternoon person 🙂 I like to use a light colored shadow or eye pencil in my inner corners to look more awake.

  77. Redtiger21 says:

To be honest, i’m not really a morning OR a night person, I tend to be generally miserable haha!!! Nah, I guess i’m more tolerant in the morning. When i need to perk up, I genuinely find that a face of pretty makeup, using peachy-corals on my cheeks and lips not only makes me look better, but makes me feel more human and awake too, it’s what I always do.

  78. Diana says:

I’m definitely a night person. I always have a hard time waking up in the morning (especially after vacation 🙂 ) . I also use the cold spoon technique if I have puffy eyes or I splash really cold water on my face. Also, this video shows a great method for covering puffiness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or6OX2kGM98

  79. Katherine says:

I’m definitely a night person! I’m most productive between 12am-5am (I do design work at home … so I can work anytime!) For days I have to get up after 5hrs of sleep or less, I always use my trusty organic eye gel to wake up my eyes, concealer to hide those dark circles and some bronzer to look fresh and healthy. A big confident smile definitely helps too!

  80. tousledkitten says:

Definitely a night person. I pat cold water on my eyes when I wake up and then get a coffee asap.

  81. SoFroLushes says:

I have no idea. I do know that once it getting to nightly hours my brain starts ticking over and suddenly I want to be active and do things, random things read blog sing check the kids are breathing and watch my husband sleep before deciding what to do next lol

If the mornings were longer I could be a morning person, just 1hr extra is all I need before the kids wake and an extra half hour extra so I can do my makeup well decide how I am going to do my makeup for that day.

    umm I suppose

  82. FrankieBaby says:

As everyone that know me knows, I am a bona-fide night owl. I hate the morning/day and love the evening.

I have to be up early quite often for work meetings so I have a few tricks to look less zombified. Number one is gallons of strong coffee and an egg if I have time. A good hot shower and scrub does wonders, as does a brisk dog walk.

I drink LOADS of water to perk up my skin and find it just generally helps me feel more awake.I use a really hydrating moisturiser and add a product like NARS brightening serum to my foundation. I also like a good light reflecting and moisturising concealer on the inner corners and under the eyes. I’m olive skinned so I usually do a peachy shadow like MAC expensive pink and highlight brows and inner corners with something like nars all about eve.

Peachy highlighted cheeks, glossy pink lips, a spray of flowery perfume that puts me in a good state of mind, some soul music or gangster rap, a kiss from my boyfriend and all done!

    (sorry, I ramble!)

  83. I’m not really either. I seem to have a window between 10 and 2 at work where I’m productive and then it all goes downhill. In an ideal world I’d be up late and early to bed!

I stay up late -wake up feeling exhausted but get a surge of energy around 5pm which keeps me working late — and then the cycle starts again
