Nothing screams “I got a tattoo in the late 90s” like a tattooed arm or ankle band.
Chanel’s latest must-have accessory was recently showcased on the Paris runway and it’s just as well the 90s are back in fashion, ‘cos check these babies out!
“Les Trompe L’œil de Chanel”, a set of 55 individual tattoos priced at an eye-watering £49 will be available on the Selfridges Chanel counter from 1st March.
I think I’ll stick to the ones you get free with bubblegum… or if I really must indulge, there must be 101 purse-friendly alternatives out there.

They’re nice and all but you have to be like a size 0 to make them look good on you. I have massive thighs so I’d have the mix about 10 together just to get them to go around my thigh once.
I think they are amazing! Too much money for me but I love them!

I’m not really loving these although I’m always changing my mind so who knows what I might think next week. The images released so far all look a bit chunky for my liking but I’d be interested in seeing if there’s any smaller designs in the range.
And also at those prices – you could get henna or get an artistic friend and give her your Blacktrack and a 209?!
And also (again)… when Cheryl Cole shows off her tattoo on her thigh we call it chavvy… but when its Chanel… it’s fabulous?

Sure – the tattoos on the skinny twiggy wrists and arms of these models look ok, but on your average, a little bit hairy, a little bit chubby female (I’m describing myself by the way) – NO.
Adults and tattoo transfers = Lose.
Kids and tattoo transfers from bubblegum packets = Win.
